Hi, my name is Erin.
Prior to joining Horizons full time in 2008, I spent 13 years in the public school system providing speech and language and autism consulting services. During that time I discovered my passion for children with autism spectrum and related disorders. Through my work in the schools, I was lucky to have Nicole introduce me to her clinical work with family based treatment 12 years ago. The improvements and relationships that we see develop on a daily basis is worth every moment that is spent planning and working with each family.
I have a master’s degree in speech/language pathology, and hold a Michigan teaching certificate. In 2006 I became an RDI® Program Certified Consultant, and maintained certification until 2011. As well as working with families through our family consultation program, I also have the great pleasure of working with children in need of speech and language services, feeding, and nutritional needs. I am trained in the SOS approach to feeding and am a Certified Nutrition Consultant.
When I am not working, I love spending time with my daughter. It is amazing to see how she grows and develops each day. I have a great family support system and enjoy spending time with my mom and sister. In my spare time I love traveling, reading, walking, and playing games.
I encourage and invite those of you who are interested in finding out more about the programs we have to offer to visit the rest of our sight or to set up an appointment to speak with one of us. We would love to have you join our Horizons family. Next to my own family I couldn’t ask for better people to spend my time with and call my family.
