Feeding Program

We believe in a developmental approach to feeding that gets to the root issues of why children struggle with eating. You and your child will work one-on-one with a feeding therapist trained in the SOS (Sequential-Oral-Sensory) Approach to Feeding, which identifies and treats the underlying causes of feeding difficulties.

After the initial assessment session a treatment plan will be developed to address your child’s specific feeding deficits. Like all of our programs, our feeding program will involve you as parents every step of the way – educating you, teaching you how to approach eating with your child, and developing positive eating routines in the home environment.

This program is appropriate for individuals of all ages (from very young to adulthood) who have feeding problems.

"Through feeding therapy we have been able to gradually improve our daughter’s comfort level around food while working on the sensory and motor issues that were barriers to successful feeding. We no longer have to take her special foods with us when we travel or go out to eat – she can now always find things on the menu that she will eat. Gone are the days when we have to worry about purchasing specific brands of the four or five things she will eat, because she has branched out to many new foods and is no longer brand-specific in her food choices. There is still work to be done in this area, but we are on the right path and see the tangible results of treatment on a daily basis."
