Movement and Sensory Motor Therapy
Most individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders have significant unidentified aspects of their sensory and/or motor development that impact functioning.
It is critical to identify all aspects of reflex, sensory, and motor development that require support, and customize a treatment plan to address those specific areas.
As with all Horizons programs and services, parents are actively involved in therapy sessions with highly trained therapists guiding the process. You and your child will receive activities to bring home and practice together, ensuring better and faster development. Most families find they attend fewer in-clinic sessions as a result of receiving structure guidance and activities to incorporate at home.
Some of the specific methodologies we use to address reflex, sensory, and motor challenges include:
- Rhythmic Movement Training (RMT®)
- Integrated Listening Systems (iLs)
- Holistic Approach to Neurodevelopment and Learning Efficiency (HANDLE®)
- Bal-A-Vis-X
- Therapeutic Listening®
- Yoga for Kids
- Handwriting Without Tears®
- Brain Gym®
- Integrative Vision Skills
